Lesson Summary

 

    In this lesson students will see how biological batteries are a beneficial alternative to fossil fuels in terms of production and waste. Examining the current state of the climate crisis and hypothesize what the future could look like running solely on renewable resources.

• How can a biological battery help reduce carbon dioxide emissions?

• What are different ways we can use the energy produced from a biological battery?

• What are the advantages of using a biological battery?

• Why do we want to use biological batteries to replace chemical batteries?

  Students will be able to

• Engage in discussions about the importance of developing new technologies that will combat the climate crisis

• Differentiate between a biological battery and its components compared to a toxic battery

• Explore the possibilities of the biological battery and where it can be used

• Theorize what our planet could look running on renewable energy,
